Role Overview:

Seiden Health is looking for an enthusiastic and approachable human resources manager. We need someone that can work with our teams, keep us organized and on task as well as manage any daily challenges and changes that arise. We want someone who is a team player and willing to assist where needed. Good organizational skills and time management are a must! You should be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.

While working with Seiden Health, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment including sourcing, screening, testing, interviewing, reference checking
  • Provide employees with all essential employment documentation
  • Welcome new employees to the organization including orientation training such as health and safety, respectful workplace training, IT & cyber security training
  • Coordinate with IT to ensure new employee has necessary hardware
  • Create and maintain all employee/office documentation
  • Coordinate group benefit registrations at 3-month mark with new employees
  • Coordinate performance evaluations, probationary and yearly
  • Coordinate dismissals including necessary paperwork, meetings with department leads
  • Monitor any employees on leaves or return to work (RTW) plans
  • Maintain company policies and HR records - ensure we are always up to date with any government legislated changes (includes health and safety, respectful workplace training, IT & cyber security training, WHMIS, employee manual)
  • Participate in HR related projects e.g., CARF, employee retention & recognition etc.
  • Create and maintain workplace employee training (including health and safety, respectful workplace training, IT & cyber security training, WHMIS, employee manual, security data training etc.)
  • Work with our Joint Health & Safety Committee
  • Communicate with outside legal representation when required
  • Conflict management - Difficult employees, underperforming staff or staff who are not the right fit, conflict between employees
  • Continuous improvement - create and lead short seminars on workplace etiquette, company policies on gossiping and watercooler talk even while we work from home, training and exercises for team leads/managers surrounding PIPs
  • Any additional projects/tasks as assigned
